Wedge gate valves are designed for use as shut–off valves - to block the flow of gaseous or liquid media in pipelines of various pressures and diameters.
The valves are made with a retractable spindle and have a locking element moving in a plane perpendicular to the direction of the medium flow. The locking element, depending on the type and size of the valve, as well as the customer's requirements, can be made as a solid rigid wedge, a two-disc wedge, an elastic wedge and a two-disc wedge with a clip. Structurally, the valves are made full-bore.
